Science For Curious Simpletons: What Can Your Stomach Stomach

March 28 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$8 – $16

Gurgle, gurgle… that didn’t sound right. 😐

There’s a whole world living inside that gut of yours, and we are finally getting around to understanding all that it does for your body, mind, and health.

At this month’s Science for Curious Simpletons class in partnership with Pacific Science Center, we are taking a look at the microbial ecosystem inside all of us.

Local Bastyr University professor Dr. Alexandra Kazaks will lead the conversation about the latest research into the more than a thousand species of microbes that live in our GI tract. Touching on food bioactive components and nutritional genomics, we will discuss who is there, what they need to thrive, and what they produce. 🔬

Speaking of that stomach of yours, light snacks and drinks will be provided.
