ATLAS Workbase Awarded the People’s Choice Award by NAIOP

NAIOP, Washington State’s chapter of the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, presents the Annual People’s Choice Award to a company that exhibits stellar design and noteworthy development. The prestigious award is bestowed upon the business that the Commercial Real Estate community deems the most deserving.

ATLAS Workbase was selected as a finalist for the Office Interiors of the Year category in 2017.

ATLAS Workbase ultimately won the People’s Choice Award as recognition for its design excellence. With upwards of 950 members, Washington State’s chapter is the fourth largest in the United States. ATLAS earned the majority of the Commercial Real Estate community’s votes. Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Fundraising Event

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society celebrated the holiday season at ATLAS in December of last year. Dr. John Pagel, a respected hematologist at Swedish Hospital, joined staff members of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. They delved into dialogue surrounding recent leukemia and lymphoma treatments as well as advancements in research. LLS members, people affected by blood-related diseases, and families of patients gathered around to hear the enlightening news.

Seattle Opera

Fundraising Event

The Seattle Opera put on an informational session recently at ATLAS Workbase. The Opera is undergoing renovation and revamping its space. The event, entitled “Brick and Mortar: How an Idea Becomes a Building,” shed light on the ongoing construction project and discussed the design of the new building. Opera donors, interested civilians, and members of the Opera were invited to learn more about the new structure. With its modern design, sleek environment, and sophisticated layout, ATLAS was an exquisite location for discussions regarding building design.

NAIOP Christmas Party

Private Event in Seattle

The NAIOP nominated ATLAS Workbase for its People’s Choice Award in 2017 and ultimately awarded the workspace with the grand prize. The NAIOP praised ATLAS even furthermore by utilizing ATLAS as the location of the NAIOP Christmas party. The Washington State chapter had much to celebrate as well, denoted by its high marks. In 2017, NAIOP WA received Chapter of the Year recognition from the national branch. NAIOP WA also grew in size, now ranking as the fourth-largest chapter in the country.

Seattle Mayoral Debate

Organized by League of Women Voters

Participants included Mayoral candidates Jenny Durkan and Cary MoonJon Grant and Teresa Mosqueda for Council Position 8; and Lorena Gonzales and Pat Murakami for Council Position 9. The evening started with a traditional Mayoral candidate forum debate from 7:30 to 8p.m., followed by a lively, engaging and thought-proving roundtable-style discussion with all six candidates.

Cofounders Connect

Seattle Startup Mentoring and Networking

Cofounders Connect is an organized network of people interested in startups. The community of entrepreneurs collectively celebrates their individual successes and business endeavors at events hosted at ATLAS Workbase. From special occasions like their Angel Investor Panels to casual business networking sessions, ATLAS is perfect for this meetup group of 3,200 members. The spacious layout of ATLAS Workbase and its ability to accommodate large groups of entrepreneurs made the event possible.

Hacker News is an online news source for social content, covering subjects along the lines of startups and technology. They advocate for entrepreneurs and provide them with informative details about upcoming opportunities. At the most recent Hacker News event, ATLAS was honored to welcome the cofounder of XBox, Ed Fries, to the workspace.

Young Professionals of Seattle

The premiere of YPOS took place at ATLAS recently. ATLAS was pleased to host The Young Professionals of Seattle, who joined forces with ProDev, to present a night of conversation for investors, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and professionals. Nick Hughes, the owner and CEO of Founders Live, was the host for the evening. His business helps to make connections, create networking, and offer support to young entrepreneurs, which is what ATLAS is all about. A new business itself, ATLAS exemplified how you can take an idea and put it into action with great success. Hughes was joined by Leslie Feinzaig, the CEO of Venture Kits and the Female Founders Alliance. The primary topic of discussion at the event focused on what happens after businesses become well-established. Starting a business is hard and maintaining its success takes work as well. ATLAS Workbase is the ideal venue for conversations about entrepreneurship.

YPN Seattle

Young Professional Network

The Seattle Metro Chamber Young Professionals Network is a community dedicated to connecting and supporting the budding professional organizations located around Puget Sound. ATLAS held a celebratory interactive event for all young professionals last fall. The attendees met with fellow YPs and networked with representatives from twenty non-profit young professional organizations in the area. The promising young people were exposed to ATLAS Workbase, a remarkable coworking space for people involved in business.

Seattle Startup Week

The Techstars Startup Week is a six-day convention for Seattle’s large-scale entrepreneurial community. Seattle is home to the origination of numerous startups – some big, some small – and the event results in impressive attendance rates. With upwards of 160 sessions, there is a wealth of information and education to obtain at Startup Week. From advice regarding the very first steps in establishing a startup, to detailed suggestions as to maintaining professional prosperity, TSWS extends a helping hand to Seattle’s population of entrepreneurs. ATLAS Workbase appreciated the opportunity to act as a venue for Techstars Startup Week.

Out and Equal LGBTQ Job Fair

The Out and Equal LGBTQ Career Workshop took place at ATLAS Workbase in the fall of last year. Being queer in our contemporary world comes with unnecessary discrimination and undeserved threats, especially in the workplace. Out and Equal is an organization determined to eradicate the prejudice against LGBTQ folk by forming a friendship between queer individuals and businesses that tolerate nothing but equality.

Event spaces at ATLAS Workbase are configured in many ways, including a classroom with seating for up to 33 people, and an auditorium that accommodates up to 80 people at a time. Total capacity, 100.

Parking is hard to find no matter where you go. To eliminate the hassle of city parking, ATLAS offers Free parking and bike storage, located in the garage below the building off of Taylor Street.
